Wesley Woods will be hosting a charity golf tournament to raise funds toward developing the site at Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center in Dowling, MI. The tournament will be at Bedford Valley Golf Club located in Bedford, MI about 10-15 minutes from Wesley Woods Camp. The event is a 4-person best ball scramble. There are many prizes available for winners including a $10,000 Hole-in-One prize sponsored by Accounting Alternatives in Portage MI.
The fourth of the five Gull Lake View courses was designed in 1965 by William Mitchell and was purchased by the Scott Family in 1988. This 18-hole facility is one of Michigan's most frequent championship sites. The classic design is known locally as "The Big Course," with huge greens, large bunkers, and fairways lined with mighty oaks. Golf purists rave about the course's shot values and overall challenging layout. Bedford Valley has been host to the Michigan Open, Michigan Senior Open, Michigan Maxfli PGA Junior Championship, Michigan Publinx State Match Play, and the NCAA III National Championship. With a practice facility, professional staff, and a friendly atmosphere, Bedford Valley is a course you will want to visit many times.
